Money cannot buy happiness.

in the words of john lennon, "money cant buy me love." this is very true in the book "the great gatsby." when gatsby really starts to feel lonely he bought a big house and threw alot of parties. however this does not work. he does not feel happy without daisy. he finds that money can buy you a big house and rich friends but money cant buy you love.
What is the secret connection between Gatsby and Daisy? What does Gatsby hope for? Why does he throw his elaborate parties?Respond in one well written paragraph. Why did Gatsby buy his house? Why does he think he needs such a mansion?Respond in one well written paragraph.

well, gatsby fell in love with daisy before left for the military. he hoped to see her again. i think gatsby threw big parties so that he wouldnt have to feel so alone. he then bought the house so that he can have these big parties.
